INTERACTIVE CHAPTERS

Parts of the book are about ways of thinking and your mindset.  Chapters 3 and 4  provide space for you to actually write down your thoughts and ideas on various topics on the pages provided.

The final chapter has an added bonus as Dean’s way of saying thankyou for taking the time to read his book. What you decide to do or not to do after reading the story of his journey to success is up to you.

WHAT DEAN HOLLAND STILL HAS MENTORS?

Yes that is correct. Despite the fact that Dean  Holland has been successful and become a millionaire and entrepreneur, he still travels regularly to countries like the United States to take part in Mastermind classes and Mentorship programs to stay at the top of his game!

So it is not surprising that the famous Russell Brunson, the co-founder of ClickFunnels has crossed paths with Dean in the past. The foreword to the Iceberg Effect book was written by Russell Brunson. Dean explains in Chapter 11 how Russell had invited Dean to take part in one of his Funnel Hacking Live events as a guest speaker to talk about his award winning funnel process. It was Russell Brunson that named Dean’s complicated funnel the ULTIMATE FUNNEL and the name has stuck ever since that night. In Chapter 11 Dean explains the steps used in the Ultimate funnel.

Dean Holland has won many awards in the way of trophies for his funnels and proudly displays them in his office at the headquarters of his company called Internet Profits. Yes he became so successful as an affiliate marketer and entrepreneur that he had to hire staff and rent a commercial premise.

I CHOSE TO TAKE ACTION

So towards the end of 2023, I decided to take action after reading The Iceberg Effect by Dean Holland. So as I am trying to sort out all the different processes that have to take place in order to set the wheels in motion to build up my following on social media etc. I have become an affiliate of Dean Holland’s  company called Internet Profits as I don’t have anything else to promote until I gain enough experience  to join  and promote other people’s affiliate programs on TikTok and YouTube etc.

UPDATE

I must admit that life gets in the way of learning sometimes especially when you are working full time and have the responsibilities of looking after several grandchildren. During the week I look after two of my grandchildren after school  on several days until their mum gets home from work. From April to September I support my eldest granddaughter on Sundays by watching her under 14’s girls football team play. Early on Sunday mornings I really enjoy watching my 4 year old autistic granddaughter  do her swimming lesson. Shania has really improved in the last twelve months and enjoys the lesson so much she smiles a lot.

So I know my progress is a bit slower than others who have also started a similar journey to myself at Internet Profits. But I will get there eventually. Dean says as long as you keep moving at your own pace and don’t stop for too long you will get there and seek help when you get stuck!

I just want to say that many of Dean Holland’s Internet Profits partners on the same journey as myself are over 50 and some are already retired. So if you are wanting a better life during your retirement and think you can handle the technical side of using a computer program or making videos for TikTok or YouTube why not consider a new career online? Also with the popularity of AI now being used for online marketing we need to embrace it or our competitors will have an advantage over those who don’t learn how to use AI.

If you are curious to find out more about the opportunities that will become available during the year and would like to watch me slowly build my website and start practising the art of making video content for social media please subscribe to my newsletter  so I can send you updates on my progress. I am not a pushy person so I don’t mind if you don’t take up any offers that you may see on my website or elsewhere. I prefer you get to know me and like me more before clicking on any affiliate links that will be popping up on my website, blogs and newsletters. You can unsubscribe anytime and in fact I may unsubscribe you after a certain time if you don’t read my newsletters or chat with me or leave comments good or bad on my blogs.

To become good at affiliate marketing we need to learn different ways to connect the right people to the right products and to help people that do subscribe to our newsletters. Dean will be teaching us more about that later in the year. I want to learn how to give my followers good value and keep them happy and keep people wanting to stay interested in what I have to say or do. I need to choose products and services that are good value for money and are not dodgy as an inferior product by a supplier will reflect badly on my reputation as an affiliate marketer.

So goodbye for now.

Regina

  1. I think promoting TIBE is good for my niche, Baby Boomers. Dean is an excellent mentor for all of us and many more! We can learn so much from him, including how to mentor others. The technology part of things holds up many of us. That’s why I think Dean’s program is perfect for the technology averse Boomers!!

    1. I would really like to hear more about Dean’s more recent experiences not just the same wonderful facts that he mentions in the Iceberg Effect book. I hope he writes another book soon which would get snapped up by his millions of followers and loyal fans. I must admit that the younger generation would find the technical aspects of building an affiliate marketing business much easier than us Baby Boomers. Dean or one of his computer savvy team have come to my aid when I have not been able to complete a technical step in our training. It is good to have help when we ask for it rather than just buying a course that has no ongoing support. Thanks for your feedback.

  2. Regina, I love the idea of a book review, especially The Iceberg Effect. Giving a succinct yet meaningful review of the book while highlighting Dean and his successes and also his need for mentors was brilliant! You spark interest in the book and also add your own personal story of how you are working on taking action and sorting out all the different processes you need to implement to start achieving success. I am exactly in the same situation. I have immense faith in slow and steady progress. I have no doubt you will achieve what you seek.

    1. Thank you Jordan for your thoughts on my review of “The Iceberg Effect” book by Dean Holland. Dean has helped many beginners or people struggling to succeed online by taking action following a proven plan that has worked personally for Dean.. My mum had a saying “slow and steady wins the race”! So follow Dean’s plan and put in 7+ hours minimum per week and you will eventually become successful. Thank you for your encouragement. Good luck with your business too.

  3. Thanks for sharing your journey, Regina! It’s inspiring to see how Dean Holland’s book, *The Iceberg Effect*, has motivated you to pursue affiliate marketing despite your busy schedule. Your dedication, especially with family responsibilities, is commendable. I wish you the best in your affiliate marketing journey, and I’m sure your followers will appreciate your genuine approach. I too was inspired by this book which took me on the CORRECT path to Affiliate Marketing, Thanks, Atif

    1. Hi Atif, I too have been inspired by your journey since you read “The Iceberg Effect” book. You are even busier than me and you also have many family members that rely on your support and guidance. You get far more work done in your affiliate business, so I feel a little guilty for not trying harder. I think at the age of 68 I have slowed down and struggle to clean so many houses each week and come home exhausted. I often go all day without eating or stopping much for a break. I am always in a race against the clock when you have to be at the next job by a certain time. So if I stop to eat or have a coffee I am late for my next job. Sorry for taking so long to reply I have had a bit of depression due to not feeling well with my asthma and some family problems at home and my young grandson being very sick recently.

  4. This was a nice review. I am glad you found value in the book and I know it will be useful to many. I also am a follower of Dean’s program, and I am pleased with the system so far. Have a great week.

    1. Hi Ernie, thanks for sharing that you are following Dean’s training and that you are happy so far. Especially with what you have learnt using the new system Dean has implemented and offered to only a limited number of his certified partners. After the initial trial period with the beginners in the Beginners Advantage training, Dean will make any necessary changes to the system before he is ready to release it to the public. Dean gives great value to his partners and has been known to throw in extra training for free! I hope you have a good week too.

  5. Regina, your journey of embracing affiliate marketing inspired by Dean Holland’s book, “The Iceberg Effect,” is truly commendable. Despite the challenges of balancing family responsibilities and learning new skills, your determination shines through. Your approach of building a community and learning at your own pace is encouraging for anyone considering a similar path. Thank you for sharing your honest experiences and insights. Best of luck on your affiliate marketing journey—I’m looking forward to future updates!

    1. Thank you Alison for your wonderful thoughts on my review of Dean’s book “The Iceberg Effect”. Not knowing how to get started as an affiliate can mean you spend too much money in trying to succeed. Dean enjoys mentoring and helping people to create a better life for themselves. He wants to help people to not make the same mistakes he made when he was a beginner, so his book can help those struggling to make money online. Dean encourages people to follow a similar path to what he did after he finally found a way to succeed which starts with your own website and blogging and emailing people on your list. I hope you are having a good week and growing your business. Thanks again for your feedback.

  6. Hi Regina, I liked this a lot!!! The review was a great idea and how you describe your journey with the Iceberg Effect book was nothing short of brilliant. Any novice affiliate marketer would benefit enormously from reading this. Your account is down-to-earth and from the heart and I love the way you explain that you’re not expecting people to take up your offers immediately but need to gain a rapport with them first. Your writing will go a long way to build that trust and respect. Well done!

    1. Sorry for the delay in replying to your comments on my review of Dean’s book “The Iceberg Effect”. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my blog. I have always been an honest and trustworthy person in my personal life. You have to be when you are running a cleaning business for more than a decade and home owners are trusting you to clean while they are at work. Dean says we have to be patient and” not chase the money” and to trust in the process and the money will eventually come. “Let the money chase you” is one of his famous quotes! Thanks Andy for your feedback.

  7. Hi, Regina!
This is a great post! I love how you review The Iceberg Effect while sharing how it impacted your life and how it can help others. I like, too, how you describe a couple of chapters as “interactive.” That’s a great way to describe the exercises in the book.
I’m enjoying your blog and hearing about your journey.
    Nakina

    1. Thanks Nakina for sharing your feedback on my review of The Iceberg Effect. I haven’t done a book review since leaving school in the 1970’s! (LOL) Dean’s book sure highlights the huge amounts of money that can be wasted on buying courses and products that just don’t help you progress much in making money online. Internet Profits can get you started from as little as $197 US dollars. Apart from their structured step by step training, Internet Profits has a large video library for their certified partners. There are videos to help you improve your skills using computers and social media platforms and much more. There is no charge for accessing this content which gets updated when needed.
So it all starts with the book that you get for the cost of shipping and handling that opens doors to many extra benefits at no extra charge when you sign up for the Quick Start Challenge and you get certified as you have also done So thank you for leaving a comment.

  8. Sarah Goulding

Dean’s journey is super inspiring! It’s amazing how he turned years of mistakes and financial losses into a success story, and now he’s helping others avoid the same pitfalls. The Iceberg Effect seems like a goldmine for anyone getting into affiliate marketing. It’s cool to see how Dean is still learning and evolving, even after achieving so much. And your own journey with Internet Profits is so relatable and motivating—balancing family responsibilities while pursuing your goals is no easy feat, but you’re doing great! Keep it up!

    1. I was just thinking wouldn’t it be funny if we ended up writing our own book one day to inspire others to follow us and make people want to start to learn how to go about it. If Dean can turn his life around for the better then others can too. You need to become a better version of yourself, focus and be more consistent in the hours you apply to building your online business and presence on social media platforms. You need to do some research online to improve on your skills with making and editing videos and it is good to get to know other successful affiliate marketers by watching their videos.
Internet Profits is constantly updating their learning programs for their certified partners on an ongoing basis and they have many computer training videos in their library if we don’t understand something technical.
This past week my 5 year old grandson Zach has been home from school with the respiratory illness called Croup so I was happy to help look after him when I was needed. So I was late in replying to people’s comments on my blog.
I hope your week went well.

  9. Hi Regina,
Thank you for sharing your insights about Dean Holland’s book, The Iceberg Effect.
I agree this is an important book and one of the good things about it is that he is transparent about his failures and financial losses before achieving success.

Many books gloss over the hardships and focus only on success. Dean’s honest story of his struggles provides a realistic view of what it takes to make it in affiliate marketing.

His focus on mindset and strategic thinking is a favorite of mine as in my view success in affiliate marketing is often based more on the right mindset and consistent action than on any specific tactic.

Your personal story of juggling family responsibilities and pursuing affiliate marketing is totally inspiring. It’s a reminder that progress can be slow and steady, and that’s okay.

Dean’s advice to keep moving at your own pace is critical. It’s easy to get discouraged when comparing your progress to others, but consistency and persistence are key.

Look forward to seeing you make video content for social media. You inspire me.

    1. Hi Eleanor,
Sorry for the delay in replying to your comments. I have always struggled with keeping a positive mindset when times get tough. I have not read many books on the subject of mindset etc. So if you know of any books worth reading please let me know. Now I have to start moving from a snail’s pace to a faster one to catch up on the things I need to get done for my social media platforms.
      Thank you for your feedback.
      Regina

  10. Hi Regina,
Great review and definitely a great way to provide a good synopsis of what Dean and IP provide.
Being able to go at your own pace and still have the support you need is something that is essential to your success!
    All the best!

    1. Thanks Marc for your comments. I hope people will be curious to find out more about The Iceberg Effect book which led me on my way to becoming an affiliate marketer. It is not easy to get started in learning the skills required to become successful with our online marketing business. Thanks for taking the time to comment and sorry for the delay in replying to you.
